Chapuis et Chapuis - Bouzeron 2022 (Aligoté)

If you take a 20-minute drive south from the famous Chardonnay vineyards of Meursault
and Puligny Montrachet, you reach Bouzeron. This is the only village level AOC wine
made from the Aligoté grape. White marly limestone soils on steep east facing vineyards
and goblet trained vines ensure this very productive grape can been controlled and the
yields can be kept low. 

Organic farming, hand harvested, spontaneous fermentation, 10 months in old oak. The 2022 vintage was fantastic, very healthy grapes with great ripeness. This is a generous expression of Aligoté which can often be quite lean.
